Our Zafu is filled with buckwheat hulls which is natural and organic, without dusting. The cover of the zafa is made of 100% natural and unbleached cotton.

Characteristics of buckwheat hulls:

• Buckwheat husk has an irregular, triangular shape. That is why it guarantees adequate air circulation and maintains the flexibility of the filling

• good air circulation prevents sweating and moisture build-up, does not conduct heat and does not heat up like traditional padding

• thermodynamic properties ensure a constant temperature of the buckwheat hulls regardless of the environment: cools the cold room in summer and warms the heated room in winter

• emits healthy negative ions of electromagnetic radiation, which neutralize harmful radiation emitted by electrical equipment

• it is very solid, its properties improve over time. It's because the hooves polish each other during brushing

CARE & CLEANING

Empty pillowcase can be washed in washing machine. Buckwheat hulls don't require any cleaning. Because they don't contain any nutrients, no bacteria or mites can grow there up. Besides, they are free of dust and don't absorb it to inside. That's why these products are friendly for people with allergy. In order to refresh, the filling can be once every 3-6 months frozen in freezer or exposed to sunlight. It is enough to get rid of the eventual mites.
